The decorated and prolific country music icon Willie Nelson will headline the 10th anniversary outing of the famous Outlaws & Legends Music Fest March 20-21 at the Back Porch of Texas, just north of Abilene. The event is billed as the “largest one-stage country music event in Texas.”
The Country Music Hall of Famer’s storied career has earned him 13 Grammys, 10 Country Music Association Awards, the CMA Lifetime Achievement Award, and 7 American Music Awards. Nelson has had 14 #1 hits and was a 1998 Kennedy Center Honors recipient. “Willie is the quintessential outlaw and legend, and to have him grace our stage is the ultimate way to celebrate our milestone tenth anniversary,” said festival founder and host Mark Powell, who will also perform alongside fellow country music stars Randy Houser, Kevin Fowler, Deana Carter, Radney Foster, Charley Crockett, The Great Divide, Cooder Graw, Mike & The Moonpies, Jamie Richards, Curtis Grimes, The Hamiltons and Jerrod Medulla.
Over the past two years, Outlaws & Legends has hit capacity with an average of 13,300 patrons per day. This year’s festival is projected to sell out months in advance, at an increased capacity of 14,500 patrols per day. The award-winning music festival attracts country music enthusiasts of all ages from all 50 states and some 13 different countries.
