Fulton County District Attorney Fanni Willis spoke out this week concerning allegations that she and a special prosecutor are involved in an improper personal relationship. Willis did not address any specifics of the allegations saying she will answer the specific allegations in a court filing. But she did speak out on Sunday, defending her decision to hire Nathan Wade. Without naming Wade, she described him as an excellent lawyer with “impeccable credentials.” Willis also talked about the personal toll the case has taken on her, including repeated racial slurs and death threats. Willis has been under criticism from Republicans in Georgia, led by State Senator Colton Moore who represents Chattooga, Walker, Dade and Catoosa Counties and U.S. Rep. Marjory Taylor Greene.
