… WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS MORNING…

THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS MORNING.

AN ARCTIC AIRMASS CONTINUES TO SURGE INTO NORTH GEORGIA THIS MORNING… WITH TEMPERATURES CONTINUING TO FALL. ADDITIONAL LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW CAN BE EXPECTED OVER THE ADVISORY AREA AS AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH MOVES OVER THE STATE TODAY. ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL GENERALLY BE AROUND LESS THAN A HALF INCH. SNOWFALL TOTALS ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA WILL RANGE FROM AROUND A HALF INCH TO AN INCH IN MOST AREAS… WITH OVER 2 INCHES POSSIBLE IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE TEENS WITH WIND CHILL VALUES DROPPING INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL PRIMARILY CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES… AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
