A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST SATURDAY FOR THOSE AREAS ALONG AND NORTH OF A LINE FROM ROME AND SUMMERVILLE… TO CUMMING.

A MIXTURE OF RAIN… SLEET… AND SNOW WILL FALL THIS EVENING. ACCUMULATIONS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO START UNTIL AFTER 8 PM AS TEMPERATURES FALL TO NEAR FREEZING. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE ADVISORY AREA BY SATURDAY MORNING. ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF A QUARTER INCH OR LESS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO BECOME LIGHT SNOW OR FLURRIES SATURDAY MORNING BEFORE ENDING SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
