Last fall the prediction for a mild – dry winter sounded really good to most folks in Northwest Georgia – unfortunately that is not what the region, and most of the nation has seen. Again weather forecasters are calling for winter precipitation for our area.
This evening we are looking for a chance of a rain-snow mix that could produce a light dusting of snow, especially in the higher elevations. Then Wednesday into Thursday there is a chance for some significant snowfall. Forecasters say that it is too early to tell exactly what path the next major winter storm will take, but it could track over Chattooga County and Northwest Georgia.
