Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters announced a county wide clean up day for June 13th.  Chattooga County residents will be allowed to bring items to the Chattooga County Transfer Station located on Stockade Road in Summerville free of charge on that day.

Commissioner Winters said that no large truck tires will be accepted and there will be a limit of 10 car tires strictly enforced. 

Winters held his regular monthly meeting on Thursday evening at the Chattooga County Courthouse Annex.  At the meeting the commissioner discussed the contracts that have been signed for acquisition of right – of – way on Peach Orchard Road and on Old Highway 337.

Also the commissioner commended the graduates of both Chattooga County High School and Trion High School for their hard work and achievements.

AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio will broadcast the County Commissioner’s meeting on Friday at 12:45 PM and then again on Saturday at 10:15 AM and on Sunday at 5:30 PM.
