Summerville Police released a report his week about a drug arrest that happened earlier this year in March.  According to the report, twenty-nine-year-old Brittany Leanne Stanley was found sleeping in her car at the Circle K gas station on Commerce Street.

When officer approached the vehicle, they could smell burnt marijuana.  After waking Stanley, officers asked if she had been smoking marijuana.  She denied that she had and allowed officer to search the car.  While searching the vehicle, Stanley told the officers that she had a gun in the vehicle.  Officers found a baggy of marijuana and other pills inside the vehicle.  At that point, Stanley denied that the drugs were hers and instead said that they belonged to her boyfriend.  She then gave the officers an address where her boyfriend lived.

Stanley was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on several drug charges.
