Summerville Police responded to a report of a fight at a Northwest Congress Street residence, and when they arrived they found a woman who had been hit and bitten during the altercation.

As police talked with the victim, she told them that another woman – identified as thirty-one-year-old Samantha Seeger – had hit her while the two argued over some phone messages that had been exchanged earlier in the day.  Officers learned that Seeger had gone to the police department to talk with police.

When police spoke with Seeger, she admitted to hitting and biting the woman during the scuffle, but said she believed that the victim was reaching for a knife and at that point, Seeger struck the victim.

Police arrested Seeger and charged her with battery and disorderly conduct.
