A fifty-eight-year-old Summerville woman was arrested on Sunday after police received an anonymous tip about a woman who was driving erratically and had almost struck several mailboxes.

Summerville Police located the vehicle in question on Fourth Street and initiated a traffic stop near Highland Avenue.  When the female driver got out of the vehicle she was driving, the officer noticed that woman seemed to be impaired.   The woman told the officer that she was driving home but did not give a coherent answer as to where she had been.

After failing several field sobriety tests the woman consented to an alco-sensor test which she also failed.

Anita M. Price of a Third Street, Summerville address was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without her license on person and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
