An arrest has been in connection with the theft of items from a DeKalb County cemetery.

55 year old Kathy Schrader Gass, of a Ft Payne address, is charged with 3rd Degree Receiving Stolen Property.

Ft Payne Police Chief Randy Bynum, said that the arrest stemmed from a joint investigation with the Valley Head Police Department. Valley Head citizens had been reporting the possible theft of items from a cemetery in the community.

Bynum said that tips led Ft Payne Detectives and Valley Head Police Chief Brian Phillips, to the home of Kathy Gass on Lookout Mountain, where the stolen items were recovered.
