A Chattooga County woman was arrested on Christmas Eve after deputies say she interfered with an arrest involving a suspect with multiple warrants.
According to an incident report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, 41-year-old Adrienne Noell Tucker was arrested on December 24 and charged with misdemeanor obstruction of officers.
The report states an off-duty deputy spotted Joshua White at a Dollar Tree and recognized him as a wanted suspect with active arrest warrants. Deputies say White was detained and on-duty officers were called to assist. While deputies waited for additional units, the report says Tucker arrived at the scene and attempted to disrupt the arrest. The deputy noted Tucker had been advised the previous night about White’s warrants and warned she could be charged if she interfered with law enforcement.
Deputies say Tucker refused to comply and her actions obstructed the Sheriff’s Office from carrying out its duties. She was transported to jail without incident.
