Charges have been filed in a fatal wreck that occurred last month on Martha Berry Boulevard in Floyd County.

According to the arrest warrants:

22-year-old Srilaysa Valom of Cumming turned left onto North Fifth Avenue from Martha Berry, and into the path of another vehicle, driven by 39-year-old Brian Daniel Byrd Jr. of Rome.

Byrd died from injuries sustained in the wreck that occurred on Dec. 2.

Valom is charged with 2^nd-degree homicide by vehicle and failure to yield, both misdemeanors.
