
A forty-three-year-old Summerville woman was charged with burglary after she was found inside a residence on Curran Street on Friday of last week.
Police were called to the scene by the daughter of the homeowner who noticed a broken window on the rear of the residence. After an investigation, the officer observed the broken window.
Inside the residence, the officer found Miranda Nelms. According to the report from the Summerville Police Department, Nelms had been told not to come back to the property in the past. Nelms was arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail on burglary charges and damage to property.
At the jail, Nelms admitted to the arresting officer that she had broken the window while trying to open it.
