A deputy was dispatched to a domestic incident last week after a man accused his wife of cheating on him and then assaulting him.
According to a report released by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, the complainant told a responding deputy that he and his wife had been arguing about her alleged infidelities. The complainant was able to show the deputy a video of the offender chasing him around the vehicle. The woman then attempted to get the keys away from the man which caused a laceration on his hand. The victim also said that the woman attempted to snatch his cell phone away from him while he was making a call to 911.
The victim told the deputy that he and his wife had just got married last month, and according to the sheriff’s office report, “he has already caught his wife cheating; that’s creating these issues between them”.
Fifty-four-year-old Paulette Kilgore was charged with interfering with calls for emergency assistance and simple assault under the family violence act.
