A woman on Sloppy Floyd Lake Road called the sheriff’s office to complain about a neighbor who was processing deer in his yard and throwing “the deer parts” in the ditch.
The woman told a responding deputy that the neighbor was “boiling deer heads” and cutting up deer and then throwing the waste into a nearby ditch. The complainant said that dogs were then dragging the deer parts throughout the neighborhood.
The complainant also said that there was “standing grey water” on the neighbor’s property and that at times the whole area “smelled like dead bodies.”
The responding deputy said in his report that he saw several dogs with deer parts and hide in their mouths leaving the area.
The deputy advised the woman that he would notify the Chattooga County Health Department about the situation.
