The Cherokee County, Alabama sheriff’s department says that a woman eluded law enforcement officials on Monday night after officers attempted to stop her in Cherokee County, just south of Menlo.
Reports say that the woman was driving a 2014 Dodge Avenger when a deputy attempted to pull her over. The woman fled from law enforcement, reportedly reaching speeds of 100 miles-per-hour during the chase.
The chase continued across the Chattooga County line and onto Highway 48. The woman eluded officers in Cloudland when she reportedly left her vehicle on Mississippi Avenue and fled into the woods on foot.
