Reports have now been released regarding a violent attack, taking place on New Year's Day, during a home invasion in Rome.

According to Rome Police reports, officers were dispatched to an Avenue B address – where they found a woman in a wheelchair covered in blood suffering bruising and swelling to the face; all she was able to tell police was that someone had knocked at her door several times, and when she opened it, she was attacked by a man, who afterwards, stole her television.

The report indicated that investigators do have a suspect, and are currently following up on leads in the case.
