According to an incident report released by Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader to AM 1180 Radio on Wednesday afternoon – deputies were dispatched to a home on Woodhaven Drive shortly before midnight Saturday where they arrived to find a man bleeding heavily from the mouth, and presenting a piece of his own tongue to the officer, which he indicated had been bitten off by a woman inside the residence.

EMS was immediately called to treat the man, identified as Billy Joe Dooley, for his injuries; officers then went into the bedroom area, where they found suspect Carrie Ann Nicholson lying on the bed crying; she reportedly told them she and Dooley had indeed been involved in an altercation.

Detailed photos of the scene were taken to be placed into evidence and according to the sheriff’s offense incident report – Nicholson provided a written statement in regard to the physical altercation both subjects were involved in.
