A Chattooga County woman reported a case of identity theft to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office last week.  The woman said that someone had filed taxes using her personal information.

When the complainant attempted to file her taxes she found that someone had already filed taxes the day before using her identity.

The woman said that she never received her W-2 forms from her employer for the previous year.  She needed a report from law enforcement to give to Turbo Tax.

The incident has been turned over to an investigator.
