Last week the Chattooga County Sheriff's Department was called to a Highway 100 Lyerly address because of a dispute between a woman and a man that she had allowed to stay at her residence to help her around her place.  According to the report the woman is visually impaired.  The woman told law enforcement that late last year she had allowed the man, identified as Robert Adams of Murphy, North Carolina, to go to the grocery store and get food for the house and we he returned she discovered he had spent between $100 and $140.  The man admitted to purchasing "stocking stuffers" for his kids with the woman's money and that he would pay her back.  The man decided to move out and now says that he doesn't owe the woman the money.  The woman wanted to file an incident report about the matter.
