The Georgia Department of Transportation announced late last week that work on U.S. Highway 27 at Taylor’s Ridge would continue this week.

Weather permitting, crews are expected to be working to repair the roadway on Taylor’s Ridge between 9 AM and 2:30 PM each day this week, through Friday.  The southbound lane of Highway 27 (going towards Floyd County) will be closed.  A pilot car will be pacing traffic in each direction during the construction times.

Motorists can use Highway 100 as an alternate route to Floyd County.
