For the past several years, Real Country WZQZ has given away $991 in Christmas Cash each Holiday Season. This year, WZQZ did things a bit differently and allowed our listeners and Facebook followers to nominate their favorite charity to win the Christmas Cash.
Hattie Foster nominated the winning charity – Community Resource Center of Chattooga County. In addition to CRC receiving $991 in Christmas Cash, Hattie Foster also won $250.
Monnette Crabtree and Catie Daniel accepted the cash prize money on behalf of CRC of Chattooga. The organization works to make sure everyone who needs food in Chattooga County has access to health and nutritious food. Many families have been able to have access to the food they need because of this organization. You can find out more about the charity on their Facebook Page
WZQZ would like to thank our sponsors for this year’s Charity Christmas Cash Giveaway: State Senator Jeff Mullis, Reece Tire, Rex Abernathy Law Firm, Rick Wyatt Realty, Hampton Heating & Air, Harvey’s South End Auto, Jim Aaron and Your Summerville McDonald’s, Coffman Funeral Home, Twin City Used Cars in Fort Payne and Right at Home In Home Care and Assistance.

Thanks to Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader, Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton , Probate Judge Gary Woods, State Representative Eddie Lumsden, State Court Judge Jon Dennis and Chattooga County School Superintendent Jared Hosmer for stopping by.
