WZQZ has now completed our testing and we are officially broadcasting on FM 99.1 and AM 1180.  WZQZ is excited to be serving Chattooga County and continues to be committed to bringing you the latest news and information and serving Chattooga County and surround areas.

The Federal Communications Commission approved our broadcast license and has given us the “all clear” to begin officially broadcasting on FM 99.1.  Our transmitter facilities for the FM station are located on Taylor’s Ridge and we have been granted a license to serve a twenty-five mile radius.  WZQZ will continue to improve our signal on both the AM and the FM stations over the next several months.

WZQZ will begin our eleventh season of broadcasting high school football this Friday.  Ben Poplin, former voice of the Rome Braves, will be broadcasting the Chattooga games this year.  Ben Groce and Jeremy Burke will be returning for their 11th season to broadcast the Trion Bulldogs.  Ben Groce will be away for the first game, and our guest-host for Trion Football will be Katie White, voice of the Berry College Vikings who will announce Friday’s game along with Jeremy Burke. We will feature the Chattooga vs. Adairsville game on FM 99.1 and AM 1180 and you can hear the Trion Bulldogs as they take on Coosa on our web site at www.chattoogainfo.com .

You can now get the “First News” of the day at 5:30 AM on WZQZ.  Join us each weekday morning at 5:30 for the latest from NBC Radio News, along with local news, obituaries, GNN Sports Update and farm news on the Georgia Farm Radio Network.

You can also continue to hear local news at 7 AM, 8 AM, 10 AM, Noon, 3:30 PM and 5 PM on WZQZ AM & FM.  Weekdays, we also are now giving you one minute news updates at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 11:30, 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM.

The Trading Post program will continue to be heard following the Noon newscast.  This is another free service from WZQZ and is brought to you by North Georgia Equipment Sales.
