
Chattooga High School’s star athlete, Zayden Cook, was celebrated for his outstanding performance on the field as he received the prestigious title of Offensive Player of the Year at the inaugural Score Atlanta Georgia High School Football and Flag Awards Banquet.
The event took place at Teamsters Local Union 728, bringing together the state’s top high school football talent.* The awards banquet highlighted exceptional players and coaches from across Georgia, recognizing achievements in various categories. Awards were presented for all-classification offensive and defensive teams, as well as individual accolades such as Kicker of the Year, Breakout Players of the Year, and statistical leaders in rushing, receiving, and passing. Coaches of the Year and Assistant Coaches of the Year were also honored for their contributions to the sport. Zayden Cook capped off an extraordinary season, leading Georgia in rushing yards with a remarkable total of 2,939. Averaging an astounding 267.2 yards per game and 8.99 yards per carry on 327 attempts, Cook’s performance has solidified his reputation as one of the state’s premier athletes.
His highlight reel features a jaw-dropping 99-yard run and an impressive 33 touchdowns, showcasing his exceptional skills and determination on the field. The Score Atlanta Awards Banquet served as a platform to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and talent of high school football players and coaches, with Cook’s achievements standing out as a testament to the level of talent present in Georgia’s high school football landscape.
