A suspected drug dealer was arrested while her car was parked on Campbell Avenue in LaFayette; an area noted by Police as an active drug selling spot in recent weeks.
Kaitlyn Marquitta Phillips, 37 of Summerville, and Christina Nicole Paynter, 28 of Silver Creek, were arrested at a location on Chulio Road after they were found with an assortment of drugs.
The Rome Braves, High-A affiliate of the World Champion Atlanta Braves, have announced their Opening Day roster for the 2022 season which opens up on Thursday in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Summerville Main Street Ducky Derby will be making a comeback on Saturday, May 14 for a fun race down Summerville Town Creek! Summerville Police were able to retrieve a stolen bicycle and return it to its rightful owner on Wednesday of this week.
Police charged a Trion man with having an open container of alcohol following a recent traffic stop. According to a report from the Summerville Police Department, twenty-eight-year-old Michael Rashad Bryant was stopped by police on University Avenue near East Washington Street when he failed to obey traffic signs that were put in place for last week’s Spring Market at Dowdy Park. Police discovered that Bryant was driving with suspended license and had two open containers of alcohol in his vehicle.
