Attorney Ann Fiddler has officially thrown her hat into the ring for the position of Superior Court judge in the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, which serves Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, and Walker counties, with the election scheduled for May 21 in a non-partisan primary.
Legislation is headed to the Georgia House that would revamp the tax credit process in Georgia. State Senator Chuck Hufstetler of Rome has been a major proponent of reviewing the lucrative tax credits that are passed out by the state.

Georgia gas prices remain steady at the pump compared to a week ago. Georgia drivers are paying an average price of $3.02 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline (subject to change overnight). Monday’s state average remains the same as a week ago, is 5 cents more than a month ago, and 33 cents less than this time last year. It now costs an average of $45.30 to fill a 15-gallon tank of regular gasoline. Georgians are now paying almost $5.00 less to fill up at the pump compared to a year ago.
