The 2026 Friends of Georgia State Parks Annual ParkPass is now available, marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and giving outdoor enthusiasts a way to enjoy Georgia’s state parks while supporting them directly.

Beginning January 1, 2026, daily parking fees at Georgia State Parks increased to $10 per vehicle, and the standard Annual ParkPass is now $70. However, purchasing a membership through the Friends of Georgia State Parks program provides the annual pass while also supporting park programs, improvements, and conservation efforts.

The standard 2026 Annual ParkPass costs $70, covering parking at all Georgia State Parks for the year. Those who purchased early were able to secure the pass at a discounted rate of $50 and have it remain valid through the end of January 2027.

For visitors looking for added value, the $99 “Adventurer” Membership through Friends of Georgia State Parks includes the Annual ParkPass and provides direct support to parks statewide. Higher membership tiers starting at $149 and above include additional perks such as two annual passes, free camping nights, and shelter rentals.

Discounts remain available. Georgia residents age 62 and older receive a 50% discount, while active-duty military members and veterans qualify for 25% off the Annual ParkPass.

Locally, the Friends of Sloppy Floyd State Park are encouraging residents in Chattooga County and surrounding areas to purchase their Annual ParkPass and take advantage of Georgia’s award-winning state parks throughout the year.
