Residents in the Subligna Community are invited out for the 6th Annual Subligna Christmas Parade Tuesday evening, December 23, a community tradition that began during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues as a celebration of local spirit and pride.

The parade will begin at 5:00 p.m. Organizers say everyone is invited—and anyone who wants to participate is welcome to join with decorated cars, trucks, ATVs, tractors, and other rides. Participants should gather at the Subligna Community Center by 4:30 p.m.

Before the parade begins, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be set up at the community center for photos.

Parade Route: The parade will start on East Armuchee Road, turn around at Bethlehem Baptist Church, continue on Gore Subligna Road, turn onto Farmersville Road, then Johnston Road, back on Gore Subligna Road, and end at the Subligna Community Center.

Organizers also remind drivers to follow all traffic laws and regulations during the parade. Drivers must be 16 or older, unless accompanied by an adult.

This year’s Grand Marshals are Todd and Kim Smith, recognized for serving the people of Zambia, Africa, by sharing and teaching the love of Christ.
