Summerville Christmas Parade Registration Opens November 1

The holiday season is just around the corner, and preparations are already underway for the 2026 Summerville Christmas Parade.

Registration for floats and other parade entries will begin November 1 and continue through December 1.

This year’s parade theme is “A Hard Candy Christmas,” and participants are invited to celebrate the season with creative, holiday-themed entries.

The Christmas Parade will be held Monday, December 7, beginning at 7 PM. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top three floats.

Registration for the parade is available online at www.summervillega.org.

Organizers encourage businesses, churches, organizations, families and other groups interested in participating to begin planning their entries.

The annual Christmas parade is a longstanding holiday tradition in Summerville, bringing residents together to celebrate the Christmas season.

The City of Summerville has announced plans for its 2026 Christmas Parade, including this year’s theme and the dates for parade entry registration.

The annual parade will be held Monday, December 7, at 7 PM in downtown Summerville.

This year’s theme is “A Hard Candy Christmas.”

The city says float and entry registration will open November 1 and continue through December 1. Those wishing to participate will be able to register through the Summerville Recreation Department or through the city’s website.

The city will also award trophies and prize money to the top three floats participating in the parade.

The Summerville Christmas Parade is one of the community’s traditional holiday events, bringing decorated floats, organizations, businesses and other participants through downtown as the Christmas season gets underway.

Additional information about registration and parade participation is expected to be available through the City of Summerville.

Santa Special Train Tickets Now On Sale For Holiday Excursions To Summerville

Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Summerville Santa Special excursions through the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.

This year’s holiday train rides are scheduled for November 28 and 29, December 5 and 6, and December 11 and 12. Tickets are $24 for everyone age 2 and older.

Passengers will travel to Summerville for a festive holiday experience that includes the Mistletoe Market and a free children’s activity tent. Visitors will also have time to shop, eat and enjoy downtown Summerville.

The Summerville Santa Special has become a popular family tradition, and organizers encourage passengers to reserve their seats early because the rides often sell out.

The Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Menlo Park.

Organizers say the event is open to the public and encourages families to come out and enjoy a fun morning together.

The event is hosted by the Mayor and Menlo City Council, who wish everyone a Happy Easter.
