AdventHealth Medical Group has officially celebrated the grand opening of its new Primary Care & Urgent Care clinic in Summerville, expanding access to health care services for families across Chattooga County.
Community leaders, residents and AdventHealth team members gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new clinic, located at 9777 Rome Boulevard in the Ingles shopping center. The clinic officially opened on February 16.
Karen Steely, chief operating officer for AdventHealth Medical Group Georgia, said the new location is designed to provide accessible, compassionate care closer to home for local families.
The clinic offers a range of services including primary care, urgent care, occupational health, workers’ compensation and school health services. Officials say walk-in and same-day appointments are available, with care provided by nurse practitioners Christie Tankersley, ACNP-BC, and Anna Nicole Herring, FNP-C.
Summerville City Manager Jason Winters said the new clinic is a major investment in the community and noted the renovated space had been vacant for about 20 years before AdventHealth transformed it into a health care facility.
AdventHealth leaders say the new clinic reflects the organization’s commitment to delivering whole-person care and meeting the needs of one of Northwest Georgia’s fastest-growing communities.
