Atrium Health Floyd-Polk Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2026 Community Impact Grant cycle, with proposals due February 6.
The Foundation was created in 2021 following the combination of Floyd and Atrium Health, and now reports more than $240 million in assets, with annual investment earnings used to support Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center and Atrium Health Floyd Polk Medical Center. Those hospitals then award grants to community organizations working to improve health across Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama.
Eligible applicants include tax-exempt non-profits, public charities, and educational institutions serving Floyd, Polk, and Chattooga counties in Georgia, and Cherokee County, Alabama. Government agencies and religious or civic groups may also be considered if funds are used strictly for charitable purposes. Only one proposal per organization is allowed each cycle.
In 2025, the Foundation awarded nearly $1.3 million, supporting 42 community agencies, and says total community investment to date tops $11 million. Grants will be announced May 29, 2026, with priority given to projects addressing root causes tied to issues like mental and behavioral health, access to care, hunger, housing, and cardiovascular disease.
Applications and requirements are available online, and questions can be directed to grants manager Donna Martin by email or phone.
