Mr. Robert John Walker, Sr. obit (willis)

MR. ROBERT JOHN “ROB” WALKER, SR. – Age 75, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Thomas Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaiah and Elizabeth Almons Walker, Sr., two sisters, Rosa Lee Mack and Alice Lee Hudgins, and one brother, Isaiah “J.C.” Walker, Jr.

He is survived by his children, Deborah Walker, Ricky (Natasha) Walker, Raquel (Jason) Pingeton, Kimberly (Rickey) Jelks, and Robert (Melissa) Walker, Jr.; seventeen grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Betty Whatley, Louise Hamonds, and Sara Walker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at The New Spirit and Truth Jesus Church, 487 Scoggins Street, Summerville, Georgia, with Bishop Venton Tyrone Harden and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour. Interment, Lyerly Cemetery.
