What appears to have been a three vehicle accident took place just before 8:00 Wednesday morning on the causeway between Centre and Cedar Bluff near the River Bridge.
We spoke with two of the drivers – 43 year old Angela Harrell of Gaylesville, driving a 2001 Toyota Tacoma, and 63 year old Jeanette Harris of Centre, driving a 2006 Jeep Liberty – and both said another vehicle was involved, however that driver left the scene.
Neither of the drivers we spoke with appeared to be hurt, only shaken up from the incident.

Three people, including a Chattooga County resident were injured in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 27 in Walker County late Monday morning.
According to Georgia State Patrol Post 41 in LaFayette, the wreck occurred about 11:50am, at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Bell Road in the Noble community.
Fernando Bilbao, age 62 of LaFayette, along with his wife Norma, were traveling in a Mazda 6 along Bell Road when he turned left onto 27 heading north.
Bilbao's vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Jacob Blake Edgeman, age 19 of Summerville. as he was heading south on U.S. 27. All three were taken by ambulance to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga for treatment.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident.

A domestic dispute between neighbors – led to a deadly shooting in DeKalb County over the weekend.
Sheriff Jimmy Harris said on Saturday, around 6:00pm – Deputy Troy Brown and Crossville Police Officer Jason Brown both responded to a domestic disturbance call on County Road 534 in Crossville.
Officer Brown and Geraldine Police Officer Josh Jones had been to that same address earlier in day for a dispute between neighbors.
When Deputy Brown and Officer Brown arrived that evening, they found 46 year old Burlin Richard Pritchett in possession of a weapon; Pritchett was then told to immediately put the weapon down, and he was then secured in a patrol car.
At that point, a witness told law enforcement that Michael Alan Chapman, age 47 – had been shot and killed.
The victim was soon located and investigators were called to the scene.
According to Sheriff Harris, witnesses and neighbors are still being interviewed in regard to the incident.
Pritchett is currently being held in the DeKalb County Detention Center without bond.
A Rome man remains in jail after being charged with aggravated assault.
According to an arrest warrant at the Floyd County Jail, 34 year-old James Donald Sides, Jr. of a Freeman Ferry Road address, threw a knife at a female victim during an argument with the knife cutting her right leg.
Sides was arrested and also charged with battery.
He's being held in the Floyd County Jail on a $11,200 bond.

A wreck in southern Floyd County Monday night, left about 175 Georgia Power Customers in the dark.
According to Sgt. Brandon Robinson with the Floyd County Police Department a car clipped a power pole on Booger Hollow Road. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Power was restored around midnight.

A Walker County father was arrested following a fight with his 19 year old son on Saturday.
Police were dispatched to Oak Ridge Drive off of Park Street, where witnesses including the minor children at the scene – said the fight broke out when the teenager began complaining that his father was making him clean his room while his sister was not made to do the same
The father, 39 year old Chris Burse was taken into custody on a charge of battery for hitting his son with a stick.
He was also charged with third degree cruelty to children due to minor children witnessing the incident.
The teenager did not require transport for medical attention.

A Rome probation officer arrested 49 year old Freddie Dewey Sutton, after he was allegedly discovered to be hunting without a license.
Reports said that Sutton killed an eight point buck, off of Old Dalton Road, back on October 11th. Reports added that Sutton is also a convicted felon.
Sutton has been charged with hunting with an unlawful weapon, failure to wear fluorescent orange clothing while hunting, hunting without a big game license, hunting/fishing without a license and more.
