On November 11th, a Chattooga County officer reported to Smallen Road due to an incident of a domestic problem. 

One man met the officer at his home and told him that his neighbors had accused him of threatening his nephew with a gun. The man said he was hunting behind his house and he told two children that they needed to go home. One of the children's mother, later identified as Ms. Amanda Horton, thought that her son had been threatened with a gun, so she allegedly assaulted the man's wife, Mrs. Patricia Wynn in retaliation.

A moment later, another officer arrived to speak with the neighbors to hear their side of the story.

Mrs. Wynn was asked about the incident, and she said that she was "tired of [Ms. Horton] running her mouth." When Mrs. Wynn went next door to confront Ms. Horton, Ms. Horton allegedly pushed her and slapped her before Mrs. Wynn could act.

After an investigation, both officers determined that Mrs. Wynn and Ms. Horton would be arrested and transported to the Chattooga County detention for fighting in public.

On November 7th, a Chattooga County officer was dispatched to Maplewood Drive in reference to damage to property. 

The resident of one of the apartments told the officer that when she was cleaning, she noticed that the back door had been damaged. The officer inspected the door, and saw that entry had not been made, but the door frame was damaged in the attempt.

The woman was not sure of the time that the damage occurred, but she valued the damage of the door at approximately $300. 

On November 9th, a woman traveled to the Chattooga County Sheriff's Office to report a theft. 

The woman said that someone had taken her son's Tony Hawk street bike. The woman also mentioned that the bike was black in color.

The bike's value was estimated around $140.

The woman was assured that a report would be filed and the incident would be forwarded to Investigations. 

On November 7th, a woman traveled to the Chattooga County Sheriff's Office to report a case of forgery.

The woman told officers that her ex-boyfriend had been using her debit card on several occasions after their breakup.

She also said that she never gave him full permission to use the card, but he kept it during the time they were dating to get gas to drive to and from work.

The woman noted that he had used the card four times after their split up. The man had charged a little over fifty dollars onto the card without her permission.

A report was filed for future reference. 

On November 9th, a Chattooga County officer was patrolling Highway 114 when he observed a reckless driver on the road. 

The driver was heading towards the officer with their bright lights on, and as it got closer, the vehicle crossed the center line into the officer's lane. The officer had to drive off the road to avoid being hit, and immediately turned around to pull the driver over.

The driver continued to straddle the center lane and eventually stopped in front of Tricon on Highway 114. The driver was identified as Ray Lewis once pulled over. When the officer asked Mr. Lewis why he drove head-on into his lane, Mr. Lewis told him that he was texting a girl. The officer could smell an odor of burnt marijuana on Mr. Lewis while they spoke. 

Mr. Lewis was able to provide his license to the officer, but not any proof of insurance when asked. Mr. Lewis was asked to step out of his vehicle to conduct some field tests. After failing several tests, the officer asked Mr. Lewis if he could search his car. Mr. Lewis complied, and the officer found a pill bottle without a label, and four marijuana cigarettes. 

Mr. Lewis was placed under arrest and admitted to consuming marijuana and hydrocodone that night. Mr. Lewis was transported to the Chattooga County Jail.

On November 8th, a reported theft brought a Chattooga County officer to Moore Street.

The victim told the officer upon arrival that someone had taken her grey 1969 Angler boat motor from her back yard. The woman knew that the motor was on her John boat next to her storage building, and estimated the value of the motor to be around $600.

The woman was assured that a report would be completed and forwarded to Investigations. 

On November 8th, a Chattooga County officer responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Oak Hill Road.

The officer found the older, two-door Chevrolet about fifteen feet off the road and completely engulfed in flames. No one seemed to have been in or near the vehicle shortly before the officer arrived on scene, but the fire had been burning long enough for the front tires and interior to completely burn away.

Firefighters arrived shortly to extinguish the fire. The County Investigator called the officer to ask for a license plate number, but there was not one to provide to see if the car had been stolen. 

The car was taken to the impound lot and the incident was referred to Investigations. 

A Chattooga County officer was working on the school zone on Highway 114 and Azalea Drive on November 6th when he flagged down a speeding driver. 

The officer saw a green truck speeding in a 35 mile per hour zone. The equipment the officer was using read that the truck was going 68 miles per hour.

The officer began to follow the truck as it sped away, and the truck reached 75 miles per hour while travelling south on Highway 114. The truck turned quickly onto Fair Drive, ran through a four-way stop, nearly hit pedestrians crossing the road, and almost ran into a vehicle that was stopped momentarily.

The driver finally stopped at the end of Fair Drive and reached a home at the end of the road. The driver was identified as Ms. Amanda Pugh, and she told the officer that she was trying to reach the homeowner and that she had fallen and could not get up. The officer checked on the homeowner and she told the officer that she was fine and had not fallen. 

The officer checked Ms. Pugh's license, and it returned suspended. Ms. Pugh was placed into custody for the following offenses: reckless driving, driving while license suspended, failure to stop at stop sign, speeding in excess of maximum limits (in a school zone), and fleeing a police officer.
