On November 3rd, a Chattooga County officer was dispatched to Echols Drive in regards to a reported stolen vehicle. 

A woman told the officer that her red pick-up truck had broken down on October 31st while her daughter was driving it on Back Penn Road.  When her daughter went to retrieve the truck on the 3rd, it was gone. She called all local towing companies and all of them denied that they took it in.

The officer asked Chattooga E911 to place additional phone calls to confirm that no towing companies took the truck in, and the County Investigator was contacted for further investigation.  

On November 3rd, a Chattooga County officer was dispatched to Maplewood Drive in reference to damage to property. 

The complainants told the officer that on November 1st, they heard a knock on the back door. They did not see anyone at the door when they went to check it, but sometime later, they heard a bag at the back door. Later, they discovered damage to their screen door.

The bottom panel of the door had been kicked and separated from the screen. The replacement of the door was estimated at $100.

A report was filed for future reference.  

On October 26th, a woman called Chattooga County officers to report a domestic incident.

The woman told officers that she had come home with her new boyfriend to find her ex-boyfriend in her home. Although the ex-boyfriend had not been officially evicted yet, he knew that he was not welcome in the home.

Shortly after he left, the woman noticed that the ex-boyfriend had poured her child's juice and cereal all over the floor. She also later found pickled hot dogs in her closet.

The woman was told that the officers would agree to her request of extra patrol near her home for the next few nights. 

On Monday, October 20th, a woman called Chattooga County officers to evict her boyfriend from her residence off of Henry Allen Circle.

The woman told the officer that she had to leave her home with her children to stay at a friend's house after she and her boyfriend were arguing verbally. The woman was told that she must go through the Magistrate Court since her boyfriend had stayed in her house for about a year.

The boyfriend was not located during this initial meeting, and the officer told the woman to contact law enforcement if any other domestic-related problems occurred.

Then, on Wednesday, October 29th, the same woman called to report that her boyfriend had purposefully gone into her house to destroy items. He had poured barbecue sauce on her clothes, urinated on her bed, poked holes in two-liter Coca Cola bottles, allowing them to leak all over her kitchen, and put six raw eggs into other clothes underneath her bed.

The boyfriend had also been sending her vulgar text messages. 

On October 26th, a Chattooga County officer was dispatched to the Trion Walmart due to a reported shoplifting.

One Walmart employee told the officer that she observed a white male in the infant department opening a baby monitor and proceed to place the items from the package into the front of his pants. The man then left the store without paying for anything.

The Walmart employee was able to provide security video and photos of the subject. 

A report was completed and forwarded to Investigations.

On October 24th, a burglary brought a Chattooga County officer to Ben Mosley Circle.

The homeowner told the officer that when she arrived home, the front door was kicked in. She did not see anything missing at first, but when a friend searched the house, it was obvious that cabinets and drawers had been opened and things had been thrown around.

The woman also mentioned that she was in the process of moving and had not been there since October 22nd.

A report was filed for future reference. 

On October 25th, a Chattooga County officer was dispatched to Highway 157 in reference to someone damaging a tractor.

The officer eventually met with witnesses at their home. The two men took the officer down a dirt road to show him the damage. The men had been working on new construction and as they were leaving, they saw four males run from a piece of equipment. The four men had used the equipment to dig large trenches across the road and crush the top of a nearby bulldozer.

The two men told the officer that they saw the four men get into a blue Nissan and head south on the highway. The officer was able to take down their tag number and send out a search for the car.

The incident is still under investigation. 

On the 28th of October, a Trion Walmart employee called Chattooga County officers to report a shoplifting.

The shoplifting incident occurred on October 13th, but the employee received a phone call about the incident on the 28th. One man allegedly went to the automotive department of the store and placed four car batteries into a buggy and left the store without paying. 

The male that took the batteries was not identified solely from the video. The value of the stolen batteries amounted to nearly $450.

The incident is still under investigation.
