End of the third quarter: Trion vs Chattooga 2012

Trion took advantage of a Chattooga turnover, taking the ball away via interception, leading to a third touchdown for the Bulldogs. The touchdown came through the air, giving the Bulldogs a 21-7 advantage over the Indians at the Little Big Horn. Listen live to the action right here on 1180AM.

After kicking off to Trion to start the 2nd half, the Indians held Trion to a three and out and then took the ball down the field on the next possession, scoring a touchdown through the air to tie up the game. In the third quarter, it is all tied up at 7 at the Little Big Horn.

At the half, Trion leads Chattooga 7-0. Both teams have shown the ability to move the ball on offense. Chattooga has given up the ball twice on interceptions and Trion managed to turn it into points with a 32 yard run in the first quarter. Tempers flared a bit at the end of the second quarter, but the teams were separated and sent to the locker rooms. We are awaiting the start of the second half of this exciting preseason game.

The Trion Bulldogs have drawn first blood on a 32 yard touchdown run with just over 8 minutes before half time. The touchdown was set up by an interception by the Dawgs. Chattooga has the ball is trying to answer.

The Battle of Chatooga 2012 is underway at the Little Big Horn in Summerville, GA. The Chattooga Indians are playing host to the Trion Bulldogs tonight in a preseason scrimmage. Chattooga won the opening coin toss and took the ball to open the game. Each team has traded an offensive possession and been forced to punt. We are scoreless in the first. Schrader Clinches Democratic Nomination For Sheriff

Approximately 106 absentee votes are the only votes yet to be counted.  Schrader has a 1,284 vote lead over Everett thereby clinching the Democratic nomination for Sheriff.  Mark Schrader will face James Dawson in the November General Election.
