Mr. John Wayne York, Obit (M)

Mr. John Wayne York, age 79 of Summerville, GA passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. York was born August 3, 1937, in LaFayette, GA, son of the late Archie D. and Zella Maples York. He worked hard all of his life as a farmer and was a member of Lookout Hall Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother; Herman York; and sister, Mary Dillon.
Mr. York is survived by his loving wife; Martha Jane York; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Marsha York; brother, Raymond York; sisters, Sue Hayes, Joyce Moore, Paulett (Andy) Long, Hazel (Doug) Maddox; grandchildren, Dallas York and Jon York.
Graveside and interment services for Mr. York will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 26, 2017, from the Greenhills Memory Gardens with Min. Terry York and Min. Chris Woods officiating.  Pallbearers will be Dallas York, Jon York, Josh Daniels, Jeff Sitton, Doug Maddox, and Andy Long.
Mr. York will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Sunday.
Mason Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. John Wayne York who passed away on Thursday. 

Mr. Ollie Russell “John” McGraw, Obit (M)

Mr. Ollie Russell “John” McGraw, age 84, of Summerville, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. McGraw was born February 13, 1933, in Berryton, GA, son of the late James Ollie and Roberta Nelson McGraw. He was a member of the Dry Valley Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.  Mr. McGraw was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Jean Tucker McGraw; and second wife, Billie Dean McGraw; daughter, Sonja McGraw; brothers, Robert Earl “Goat” McGraw and Frankie Eugene “Cotton” McGraw; and a sister, Annie Sue Salmon.
Mr. McGraw is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shaun and Becky McGraw; step-sons and daughter-in-law, Allen Dean, Tim and Sharon McCullough, and Terry McCullough; step-daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Pat Gaines; sister-in-law, Mildred McGraw; 3 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. McGraw will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating.  Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens.
Mr. McGraw will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, March 26, 2017.  He will also be in state from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
