The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office recently responded to a report of damage to property at a Nixon Street address in Summerville.
Deputies found that three windows at the back door of the home had been broken out, the garage door had been damaged and an outside light fixture had been broken.
A trampoline mat was ripped along with the side netting.
Apparently the damage had been done while the family was in vacation.
Investigators are looking into the matter.
Ft Oglethorpe Police and the GBI are currently investigating the drowning of a two year old child in the pool at Oglethorpe Ridge Apartments over the weekend.
According to reports the pool was closed and the area is surrounded by a fence, leaving law enforcement questioning just how the child got into the water Sunday afternoon.
Emergency personnel attempted to revive the child with CPR.
The youngster was later pronounced dead in the emergency room at Hutcheson.
