Frances “Fran” Faye Busby, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and loved ones on February 27th, 2025, at the Community Hospice Bailey Family Center for Caring in St. Augustine, FL.
She was born on July 5th,1948, to Rev. Clyde and Opal Parris of Summerville, Georgia. Fran was a successful business owner and hairdresser for most of her life. A proud mother to Brent and Nicole, her most cherished title was MiMi to her 3 granddaughters Bailey, Anslee, and Carley. If Fran wasn’t busy on her feet, you could find her bathing in the sun until the sun went down, reading her favorite love story, gardening, or spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ronald “Duck” Parris, Leon Parris, and twin, Donnie Parris.
She is survived by her siblings, Cecil (Polly)Parris and Anne (Rennard)Lanier; son, Brent Busby (Lorrie Bazzell); daughter, Nicole (Patrick)Phillips; granddaughters, Bailey (Larry) Woodard, Anslee (Brandon)Alford, Carley Phillips; soon-to-be great- grandson, Braydon Alford; and several nieces and nephews. In honor of Fran’s love for life and colorful personality, we encourage you to wear bright colors.
If Fran ever made you smile, impacted your life in anyway, or held a special place in her heart, we invite you to join us to celebrate the life and legacy she leaves behind.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 9, 2025, at North Star Baptist Church (3413 Blue Springs Road – Kennesaw, GA 30144). Interment will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery.
Fran will be in state at Georgia Funeral Care (4671 S. Main Street – Acworth, GA, 30101) from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. Saturday, March 8, 2025.

MR. GARY ROGER LOWRANCE, age 68, of Lowrance Drive, Trion, Georgia, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Lowrance was born in Trion, Georgia on July 17, 1956, to the late William Alvin and Bonnie Mae Craig Lowrance. He was retired from the Weaving department of Mount Vernon Mills.
Surviving are daughters, Mary (MJ) and David Swift and Kathy Medley; grandchildren Destinee Swift, Serenity Swift, Autumn Swift, Sinclaire Caldwell, Amber Snowden, Brandon Snowden, Alexis (Peanut) Slater, and Gabby Medley; several Great Grandchildren; sister, Martha Camp; brother, Richard Lowrance; niece Erica and Don Thompson; several other Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Memorial service will be held Monday, March 10th, at 1:00 P.M., from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Shaver officiating.

Mr. Richard Timothy “Tim” Black, age 59 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at his residence.
Tim was born in Lafayette, Georgia on November 3, 1965, son of the late Harvey Allan Black and Annie Ruth Woody Wilson. He was retired from Syntec, where he worked as a fixer and was a member of the Teloga Baptist Church. Tim was an avid Alabama Football fan and enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes.
Tim is survived by his wife, Sheila Black; son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Melanie Black; daughters and sons-in-law, Adrien and Greg Eskew and Tiffany and Jeremy Long; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Dee Black, Carl and Dee Black and Jesse Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and James Murdock; several grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Tim will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. at the Coffman Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Wells will speak at the conclusion of the visitation.
