There will be a New Year’s Singing on Saturday December 28th from 6 until 10 pm at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center on 40 Middle School Road in Summerville. Featured singers will be By His Grace, The Mitchell’s, The Henderson’s, Sheila Reed, Diane Bogart and Allen Baker. This will be a fee event and everyone is welcome to attend.
Carolyn Maxwell, of Omaha, Nebraska, gained her angel wings November 29, 2024 surrounded by family.
Carolyn was an angel here on earth and a true warrior to God. Her selfless heart was always full of love and compassion for all who came into her life. She was always there for others even if only to listen. Family and togetherness she held dear to her heart. Carolyn has instilled all these values into her children and into the lives of others.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents: Robert Sneed Chaney, Jr. and Jimmie Clementine Chaney; brothers: Herbert and Ronald Chaney; sisters: Shirley Canatsy and Susan Rice.
She is survived by her husband: Charles Maxwell; daughters: Pamela Maxwell, Melissa Volentine, Rita Nelson (husband: Tim), and Tina Maxwell; grandchildren: Charles Vitols, Carissa Volentine, Courtney Volentine, Wyatt Nelson, and Kinsley Nelson; great-grandchildren: Hudson, Mackenzie, and Dakota Graff; sister: Ileeta Scolaro.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
