Daegen Vaughn, Obit (M)

Mr. Daegen Paul Vaughn, age 19, of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023, from injuries sustained in a watercraft accident.

Mr. Vaughn was born January 28, 2004, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, son of Jason P. Vaughn and Heather Smith. He attended North Summerville Baptist Church and was employed as a lineman with 5 Star Electric. He was a graduate of Trion High School where he excelled in the wrestling and football programs.

Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Terry Smith, Joe R. Norton; and a cousin, Jordan Vaughn.

Survivors include his mother, Heather Smith (Brandon Cleveland); father, Jason P. Vaughn; sisters, Anistin (Travis) Stancil, Jaci Cleveland; brother, Cody J. Vaughn; grandparents, Nita Smith, Glenda Norton, Pete (Cindi) Vaughn; aunt, Christy Lemming; uncles, Barry (Fayla) Vaughn, Stacy (Shelley) Vaughn, Jamie (Wendy) Smith; cousins, Taylen Vaughn, Braxton Vaughn, Sidni (Connor) Justus, Mila Justus, and Tanner Lemming.

Funeral services for Mr. Vaughn will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, May 25, 2023, at North Summerville Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Tucker, Pastor Sammy Barrett, Coaches, and close friends officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brantley Wilbanks, K.P. Park, Riley Blackwell, Bladyn Bowman, Webb Wyatt, Linkin Farrar, Devon Bishop, Wes Conley, and Mason Sterner. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Trion Wrestling and Trion Football Teams.

Mr. Vaughn will be in state at North Summerville Baptist Church and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Thursday.

Flowers will be accepted at the church or donations may be made to the Daegen Paul Vaughn Memorial Fund at United Community Bank.

Robby Hines, Obit (ER)

MR. ROBBY HINES, age 63 of Summerville passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at a South Georgia Hospital. He was born on October 12, 1959 in Summerville, Georgia, son of the late Claude and Betty Rose Hines. He was employed with Roper Corporation in assembly. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hines was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Hines and a niece, Tonia Railey.

Surviving are his children, Adam Godfrey, Justin Ward, Robyn Hines (Michael Bean), Jacob Hines; sisters, Elizabeth Hall, Terry Hines, Linda Morgan, Christy Hines, Kimberly (John) Mincey; brother Jason Hines; several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 2 p.m. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Minister Hugh Glaze officiating. Interment will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Dough Railey, Caine Railey, Michael Mincey, A.J. Strickland, Justin Ward and Donnie Smith.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Homer A. Williams, Jr., Obit (M)

Mr. Homer Alexander Williams, Jr., age 66, of Trion, GA, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Chulio Hills Health and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Williams was born November 24, 1956, in LaFayette, GA, son of the late Homer Williams, Sr. and Jessie Cummings Wallins. He was a member of Christian Church, Rome, GA, and prior to his retirement, worked in the housing construction industry.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Luttrell; brothers, Harold Williams, Andy Williams, and Nickey Carter.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Johnson Williams; sons, Homer Alexander Williams, III, Bobby Cundiff, and Jamie Cundiff; daughters, Amanda Starliper, Donna Alexander, and Amy Gambrell; a sister, Annie Fowler; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mr. Williams will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Ridgeway Cemetery with Chaplain Billy Murdock officiating. Pallbearers will be Brandon Alexander, Josh Stones, Daniel Williams, Corey Gambrell, Ben Gambrell, and Alex Williams.

There will be no visitation and family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 A.M.

Jade Robinson, Obit (M)

Mrs. Jade Alexandra Robinson, age 32, of Teloga, GA, passed away suddenly Monday, May 15, 2023, at Erlanger Medical Center.

Mrs. Robinson was born February 13, 1991, in Rome, GA, daughter of Philana Phillips Williams and Richard Robinson. She was employed with Roper Corporation. Mrs. Robinson loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. She especially loved her wife and children and was a natural caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Arlie Robinson; grandmother, Sarah Phillips; and a nephew, Jeremiah Robinson.

Survivors include her spouse, Madison Victoria Pickard Robinson; children, Lashauna Leek, Maggie Russell, Blake Russell; brothers, Brian Robinson, Cassey Robinson; a sister, Katharyn Leek; and special grandmother, Sarah Robinson.
