Mrs. Betty Jean Noles Mitchell age 85 of Lyerly, GA passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Mitchell was born April 23, 1940 in Summerville, GA to the late Doyle and Beatrice Clowdis Noles. . She was retired from Mohawk Industries and was a member of Mill Creek Baptist church. She enjoyed flower gardening, and caring for her loving family and friends. She was a kind lady that never complained.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by husbands, Marvin Cleveland and Pete Mitchell; siblings, Bill Noles, Charles Noles, Robert Noles, and Linda Ledbetter; and daughter-in-law, Joyce Cleveland.
Survivors include her sons, Jim (Deborah) Cleveland and Jackie Cleveland; sister, Becky (Kenny) White; grandchildren, Holly (Justin) Day, Cassie Cleveland, Brandon Cleveland (Heather Smith), and Jacob Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Jax Day, Eme Day, Jacye Cleveland, Braylen Cleveland, Addie Cleveland, and Jayle Cleveland; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mitchell will take place at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 4 at the chapel of Mason Funeral home with Rev. Jamie Maples officiating. Interment will follow at Johnson Cemetery with Brandon Cleveland, Chad Brown, Fred Hogue, Kenny White, Justin Day, and Chuck Noles serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Maxine Baker, age 93 of the Pennville Community in Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at a Ft. Oglethorpe Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Baker was born in Kensington, Georgia on March 24, 1932 ,daughter of the late Charles Edward Franklin and Rebecca Rose Arnold Franklin. She was a member of the Mt. View Baptist Church and was a retired Nurse, working with Mt. Vernon Mills, Dr. Gary Smith and the Trion Hospital. She enjoyed quilting, traveling and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Baker; grandson, Marc Baker; sister, Earlene Franklin; and brothers, Charles Franklin, Wayne Franklin and Marvin Franklin.
Mrs. Baker is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Sandra Baker; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Terry Meek and Sherry Mark Cothran; brother, Leon Franklin; grandchildren, Christy McDade, Casey Meek, April Welch and Marly Proctor; 6 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Baker will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Kevin J. Norton and Rev. Jimmy Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Casey Meek, Scott McDade, Matt Welch, Robby Proctor, Rusty Franklin and Robert Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dot Shankles, Deb Williams and her Rosewood at Ft. Oglethorpe Family.
Mrs. Baker’s family will receive friends Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Wanda Nell Lawson Hutchins, age 87 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, October 31, 2025 in Rossville, Georgia.
Mrs. Hutchins was born in Trion, Georgia on April 16, 1938, daughter of the late Albert Lawson and Ruby Jewel Coots Lawson. She was a member of the Pennville Church of Christ and was retired from the accounting office of Bigelow-Sanford. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hutchins was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Hutchins; and a sister, Johnnie Owens.
Mrs. Hutchins is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Ginger Hutchins; a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Allen deBord; sister, Betty Shives; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
