School started back yesterday for Chattooga County students and will start next week for Trion City School students. Several Summerville churches have come together, along with the Grady Allen – Jimmie Vaughn School Supply to pass out free backpacks and school supplies to students today. The event will be held from 10 AM until 1 PM, or until supplies are gone, at the Summerville First Baptist Church Family Life Center, located across from Summerville City Hall on Georgia Avenue in Summerville. The event is open to any Chattooga County resident and the child must be present to receive the free school supplies.
