Georgia Gas Prices Continue To Decline

Georgia gas prices continue to decline at the pump compared to a week ago. Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $3.76 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. Monday’s state average was 11 cents less than a week ago, 50 cents less than last month and $1.05 more than this time last year.

New County Convenience Center Opens In Menlo

The new county convenience center opened on Reece Street in Menlo on Monday.  The former site on Highway 48 was closed after the land was sold to a new owner who did not want to continue leasing the spot for the dump site to the county.

Town Of Trion Easter Notice

The Town of Trion Business Office, Maintenance, Gas, and Recreation Departments will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2022 for Good Friday Easter Holiday. Garbage normally picked up on Friday will be picked up on Thursday, April 14, 2022. All other days will be on regular schedule. Georgia DOT Observing National Work Zone Awareness Week

The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) is observing National Work Zone Awareness Week April 11 – 15. This year’s theme is “Work Zones are a Sign to Slow Down”. Each spring Georgia DOT and other departments of transportation across the country observe National Work Zone Awareness Week to educate motorists about the dangers of work zones and to remind drivers to plan, minimize distractions and slow down when driving through work zones.
