A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday for the new Menlo Elementary School. The event was attended by members of the Chattooga County Board of Education, Chattooga County School Supt. Jared Hosmer and Menlo Mayor Allen Keen. Students from Menlo Elementary School also took part in the ground breaking ceremony. The project will replace existing facilities, some of which have been in use for over eight decades. Site preparation began late last year for the new school.
