COVID-19 Numbers Fall In Local Schools

Both local school systems saw COVID-19 numbers fall dramatically over the past week.  According to the reports released by Trion City Schools and the Chattooga County School system on Friday of last week, the numbers are some of the lowest since the beginning of the pandemic.  The Trion City School system reported only one positive case and the Chattooga system reported a total of eight cases.

Trion Fire Department Releases Monthly Call Report

The Trion Fire Department has released their monthly call report for January, 2022.  Trion firefighters responded to fourteen fire alarms, eight vehicle accidents, thirteen medical assists, one gas leak, one vehicle fire and one search and rescue, along with twelve other calls.   The Trion Fire Department is also remind area residents to check their smoke alarms.  If you do not have smoke alarms, contact your local Chattooga County fire department for assistance.
