Rep. Lumsden Weekly Legislative Report

State Rep. Eddie Lumsden (R-Armuchee) has released his weekly legislative report.  Lumsden said that the fourth week of the legislative session has put the Georgia General Assembly more than a quarter of the way through the legislative session.  Lumsden said lawmakers have been dealing with the issue of a shortage of teachers in Georgia.  One solution being offered would allow retired teachers to return to the classroom fulltime while receiving their full retirement benefits.  The General Assembly is also still dealing with bills concerning mental health, a priority for Georgia House Speaker David Ralston.  You can read the full report below:

Menlo Boil Water Advisory Lifted

The City of Menlo says that the boil water advisory has now been lifted.  The city had issued a boil water advisory over the weekend and kept in place at the recommendation of the Georgia EPD on Monday and into Tuesday.  Tuesday afternoon at 4:15, the City of Menlo notified WZQZ News that the boil water advisory has expired.

Chattooga BOE Called Board Meeting
