Commissioner Says Broadband Funds Will Be Used To Expand Internet To Underserved & Unserved Areas

 

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced on Tuesday that many rural areas of Georgia will be seeing funds that will help make the internet more accessible for people who struggle to get broadband service.  Chattooga County was one of the areas that will benefit from the more than $400 million that will be spent upgrading internet access in the Peach State.

Tax Commissioner Hampton Releases Annual Report

Chattooga County Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton released her 2021 Annual Report on Wednesday.

Hampton said, ” The report details where my office is on tax collections, as well as monies collected and paid over for the fiscal year.  Last year, my office processed 58,660 transactions, and collected/paid out over 17 million dollars.  I am very blessed to have such a hard working team.”
