Summerville Police responded to a call about a possible burglary last week.  According to a report from the Summerville Police Department, the complainant at the Summerville Gardens Apartments told officers that she had returned home from shopping at Walmart to find two necklaces missing from her apartment.  The complainant told the officer that she had left the jewelry on top of her dresser.  The complainant also told police that her door was locked when she returned home, but there was another person who had a key.  The incident was turned over to an investigator.

After a surprise snowfall last Friday that left a dusting of snow for some, and bitterly cold temperatures Saturday and Sunday morning, we will be warming up today with highs approaching 60 degrees by Tuesday afternoon.

The Chattooga County Library has announced “Chocolate Games” for Saturday, February 12th PM.  Children ages 6-11 will compete from 10 AM until 11:30 AM and children 12-17 will compete from Noon until 1:30 PM. The games will include single and team participation and feature some favorite chocolate treats. Registration is required.  You can register in person or by calling the library at 706-857-2553.

In the weekly COVID Report from Trion City Schools, the number of positive cases have improved dramatically over the past week.  Last week, the school system was reporting 25 cases and this week’s report show that number cut by more than half with only 11 positive cases being reported.  There were 4 cases at Trion Elementary School; 3 cases at Trion Middle School and 4 cases at Trion High School.
