Summerville Police filed a report from a Summerville woman who said on January 11, 2022 a semi-truck backed into her yard on Broad Street and caused damage.  The complainant told the responding officer that she had spoken with the trucking company, identified as Beacon Transport – based in Morrow, Georgia.  The trucking company had promised to fix the complainant’s damaged yard, but as of Wednesday of this week – the complainant had not heard anything further from the trucking company.  The complainant asked that a report be on file with the Summerville Police Department.

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced Wednesday that two Trenton fires were intentionally set. The two fires occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. on January 21st at a residence on Highway 11.
